Eastern Light Submarine Fibre Cable Project 2018

Eastern Light is an independent private Stockholm-based company building a new, festooned fiber-optic sea cable systems in the Nordic region. The first build-out phase includes two submarine cable systems in the Baltic Sea. Taken together, this means a whole new fiber route all the way from Stockholm to Berlin via Helsinki, the Baltic countries and Poland. Read more at www.easternlight.se

Baltic Offshore has been awarded the installation contract. Installation offshore, shorelanding works including splicing and testing.

First section to deploy is between Sweden and Finland (from Stockholm via Hanko, Helsinki to Kotka). Fiber cable length apx. 575 km.
