Cable Protection Works

After the successful installation of Ellevio’s 400 kV cables in Mälaren/Stockholm last year 2020, Baltic Offshore now commence second phase of this infrastructure project, to protect the cables at fairways and other strategic areas.

Production of Filter Units has been restarted and a total of 7000 Filter Units (rock bags @2 ton) will be produced and stored at Löten/Ekerö. C/S Pleijel has been modified and mobilised in order to load and install the Filter Units with the highest precision over the 9 cables.

The installation is scheduled to run continuously 24/7 up to end of June, totally 14-15 campaigns, to complete the protection works.
