Equipments, Floating Elements

Floating elements or just "floats" are widely used for cable support during landfall works etc but is also an alternative for very shallow water installations. It is possible to make quite some extensive installations in this way.

There are two kinds of floats; Floating Bags and Buoys;

Baltic Offshore have some 400 pcs, where each Floating Bag is divided into two sections with separate air inlets/outlets valves. Floating bags have a great lifting capacity and is especially handy with heavy cable constructions in shallow water environments.

Bouys are also used and is the classic way of floating cables ashore. We have some 300 pcs of bouys with approx 90 kgs lifting capacities each.
